Spring break is here and I am making a list of some of the Adventures of C.A.B. favorite places and a few we plan to visit during the break

1.) The National Museum of Natural History: Dinosaur Exhibit – 10th St & Constitution Ave NW  Wash DC this exhibit will be closing April 28,2014 for a 5 year renovation; check out all of the skeletal remains and the fossil lab before it is too late. 2.) The National Museum of the American Indian – imagiNATIONS Activity Center – 4th St. and Independence Ave., SW. Washington, DC (202) 633-1000 Interactive Children Play area with hands-on activities: Weave a giant basket to learn about the various styles of basketry. Explore different modes of transportation like snowshoes and skateboards. Sit inside a full-sized canoe, build an igloo, and explore housing. 3.)  Rolling Crest Indoor Splash Park – 6122 Sargent Rd Hyattsville, MD 20782 . An Indoor waterpark with six waterslides that equal countless hours of fun. Click here to read C.A.B.’s review

4.) Take In a movie – There are a few great movies options out this spring break Rio 2 which C.A.B and I will be going to see; we loved the first one, Mr. Peabody and Sherman C.A.B. has been asking me to see this one, and the Muppets.

5.) The National Zoo – 3001 Connecticut Ave NW, Washington DC 20008. Go see the animals and the new baby panda. Don’t forget to check out the daily programs. The daily programs include animal training, feeding demonstrations, and keeper talks.

6.) Port Discovery Children’s Museum Baltimore Harbor –  35 Market Pl, Baltimore, MD 21202 (410) 727-8120. April 18th Target is offering $2 Friday from 4pm – 9pm. Come enjoys countless hours of endless play.

7.) Watkins Park – 301 Watkins Park Drive, Upper Marlboro, MD 20774 (301) 218-6700 offers a huge amount of activities from Old Maryland Farm, Nature Center (turtles, snakes, and etc) , walking trails, playground, basketball courts. During Spring Break they will be offering a campfire and puppet show.

8.) Oxon Hill Farm – 6411 Oxon Hill Road, Oxon Hill, MD, 301-839-1176 , It is a free living farm minutes outside of DC that includes the Mount Welby home, Farm Museum, barns, a stable, feed building, livestock buildings and a visitor activity barn. Farm animals include cows, horses and chickens. They also offer hay rides. Visitors can view the animals up close daily and learn about the workings of a farm. Click here to read C.A.B.’s review

9.) Nature Walk – Take a walk around your neighborhood or park and explore the trees to see the changes that are happening in Spring from Winter

10.) SkyZone Trampoline – 7175 Oakland Mills Rd, Columbia, MD 21046 (443) 546-4477. An endless sea of trampolines, all connected to form one massive trampoline surface. Let them jump to their heart’s content; please call for availability they fill up pretty quickly.
