Take me out to the ballgame/ The Adventures of C.A.B. goes to the ballpark to see Bowie Baysox vs Bingham Mets. This was C.A.B’s 1st professional baseball game. The Bowie Baysox are the home team as well as the Baltimore Orioles minor league team. The Bowie Baysox game has a family atmosphere in which there is a great deal of entertainment for younger fans. It is a smaller stadiums so there aren’t any bad seats. After entering the stadium; our seats were along the 3rd base side of the stadium. It was here were C.A.B enjoyed the game.
Members of the Secret Service Agency were on hand fingerprinting kids for free. The prints were entered in the National Security Database in the case a child becomes missing. C.A.B. now has his biometric information entered. Let’s hope we never have to use this available data. At the beginning of the 5th inning C.A.B. was promised that we would venture to the other end of the stadium to the Kid’s Park. His interest was weaning in the game and he was enjoying the freedom to burn energy moving about the bleachers. Once we reached Kid’s Park there was a carousel, moon bounce, and a pitch and hit attraction that was set up for the younger kids. C.A.B. chose the moon bounce as his activity. He used all of the tickets I purchased to jump on the gigantic moon bounce.
C.A.B.’s first live professional baseball experience appeared to have a success! Having exhausted himself after an evening at the ballpark, C.A.B. settled down for the ride home and it was much longer after hitting the road he was out like a light. C.A.B. will be talking about this adventure for the next few days and many more in the future.
