The Adventures of C.A.B. takes C.A.B. and his grandfather on their own little adventure.  C.A.B. and DaDa as my father is affectionately called took a trip to the Canal Park water sprays.   I met them there and was pleasantly surprised at how much fun C.A.B. was having running back and forth in the water.  Canal Park is a place he and his grandfather started going last summer to take a break from the heat and bond. They have several of these water spray parks throughout the city.

Please click here for a list provided by DC Parks and Recreation.  It is a great idea and place for the children to run wild and enjoy summer.  C.A.B. and the other children were running back and forth and playing tag in the water. They were having a ball.  I wish they had them when I was a kid.   The only thing that we had that comes close to this is the fire hydrant. Lol!   Canal Park is located  at 200 M Street, SE, Washington, DC 20003.  This location has two water features, a large interactive water fountain with programmable water that seems to be moving to its own beat and flashing lights.  There are several benches for parents to sit and watch the children.  they even have places to charge your electronics. Also there is meter parking located on the side street which was very convenient.

C.A.B. enjoys Canal Park so much; I think we will check out the new one at Yards Park located at 355 Water Street, SE, Washington DC.  I hear this one not only has water sprays but a wading pool.  If you are looking for a cheap, quick, fun and great activity for your children to beat the heat; I suggest going to one of the many water spray parks and take a break from the heat.
