School is back in; cooler temperatures and you know what that means! It is time for Fall Festivals; when neighborhoods of the city (DC) hold festivals with live entertainment and food. It allows you to taste food from that particular neighborhood for a discounted cost.

Taste of Georgetown
Date: September 13th
Time: 12-5
Location: K street, Georgetown Waterfront

Come relax picnic style at the Taste of Georgetown at the Georgetown Waterfront park. It will feature 35 restaurants that will provide samples of their signature dishes for $5 a taste or 5 for $20. There will be live music from 12:15 to 4:30 featuring blue grass and country bands. Family friendly entertainment will be featured with face painting, balloon making, and hula hooping and a giant cupcake eating competition starting at 2. Website: http://www.tasteofgeorgetown.com/

Adams Morgan Day
Date: September 14th
Time: Noon – 7 pm
Location: 18th St Nw, between Florida ave and Columbia Rd

This will be the 2nd annual Adams Morgan Day in addition to food, live music, sidewalk cafés, cultural demonstrations, and dances; they will have a kid’s fair that will start at 10 am. The kid’s fair will be held at  Marie School at 18th street at Wyoming. Kid’s fair will have interactive science exhibits, clowns, and games.  Website: http://www.ammainstreet.org/

H Street Festival
Date: September 20
Time: Noon – 7pm
Location: H street between 4th and 14th

The H Street festival will be 10 blocks long and feature 150 restaurants and food trucks. There will be 10 stages representing all types of music from jazz to opera. There will be a family zone that will provide kid friendly entertainment  and even a climbing wall. Website:
