Santa Fly In – Santa flys into the College Aviation Museum in College Park by helicopter; C.A.B. loves this. This is an annual event; that is a different twist on seeing Santa. After Santa lands he goes into the museum and takes pictures with the children. They also have art and crafts for the children to do; last year Collin made Santa a card and got a holiday stamp on his hand.  The children also get to explore the museum: C.A.B. played in the building block corner for about a half in hour.
Holiday Festival of Lights – Enjoy driving through a wonderful winter wonderland of light displays from the warmth of your car at Watkins Park in Upper Marlboro. C.A.B. and I normally grab a milk shake and sit back and enjoy all of the displays from the candy canes to santa on a motorcycle. He spots something new each year. The Festival of Lights is nightly from Friday, November 28, 2014 – Thursday, January 1, 2015 5-9:30 pm and costs $5 a car.  It is free on Christmas.

ZooLights – The National Zoo is transformed into a Winter Wonderland of Lights that is breath taking. C.A.B. loves the rides; they a giant slide, train ride, carousel and we have to end the evening off with hot chocolate. C.A.B. slid down the slide about 4 times; and I did it once. It was a blast Last year; GEICO had a photo area that you could take pictures and they would send them to you and a gave you a GEICO flashlight. Zoo Lights is free, but the rides and food cost; Living Social always has a coupon for the rides and parking.  C.A.B.’s review
National Christmas Tree – The National Christmas tree at the Ellipse is by far one of C.A.B.’s favorite Holiday places to visit. They have a city built around the base with trucks, rescue vehicles, trucks, trains, and etc. There are also trees that represent all of the states. We tend to go see the National Christmas Tree a few times. C.A.B.’s review

Holiday Exhibit at the US Botanic Garden – The US Botanic Garden has three Holiday exhibits this year. C.A.B. loves to go see the model trains in the East Gallery every year and to see what theme they will have. I enjoy the replicas of all the monuments on the National Mall made with plant materials. Let’s not forget the huge tree in the West Gallery with Percy riding around it. They also have live music on Tuesday and Thursdays throughout the month of December. See C.A.B.’s review
