C.A.B. and I explored South Bowie Library located in Upper Marlboro on 214 at 15301 Hall Rd . The South Bowie library is a fairly new library with all the bells and whistles; there is a snack bar inside. We explored the kids area on the first floor; the entrance is so warm and inviting with its stone detail. C.A.B. was immediately impressed with the seating area that looked like a tree with a bench around it. He said mommy can I get a book and read under it? I told him in a minute; let’s see what else they have first.
There is also an activity room that the children go into and play with different things on the wall. There are several tables available to read books or do homework. There were a bank of computers for the kids to use. There are plenty of chairs and tables to sit back and enjoy a book. C.A.B. perused the aisles until he had about five books about trucks and fire engines. We found a comfy spot under the tree and I began to read. He had a ball; We can’t wait to go back to do story time. This is a perfect place to go explore and enjoy during the winter or when it is rainy outside.
