Spring break is here and I am making a list of some of the
Adventures of C.A.B. favorite places and a few we plan to
visit during the break:

1.) The National Museum of Natural History: Butterfly Pavilion – 10th St & Constitution Ave NW, Wash DC is free on Tuesdays.  Walk among exotic plants and live butterflies. While there don’t forget to check out Q?rius activity room where you can try on clothes or do an activity.

2.) The National Museum of the American Indian –
imagiNATIONS Activity Center – 4th St. and Independence
Ave., SW. Washington, DC (202) 633-1000 Interactive Children
Play area with hands-on activities: Weave a giant basket to
learn about the various styles of basketry. Explore
different modes of transportation like snowshoes and
skateboards. Sit inside a full-sized canoe, build an igloo,
and explore housing. Don’t forget to stamp your
imagiNATIONS passport with real tribal seals as you journey

3.)  Check out one of the areas Indoor Splash Parks:

Rolling Crest Indoor Splash Park – 6122 Sargent
Rd Hyattsville, MD 20782 . An Indoor waterpark with six
waterslides that equal countless hours of fun. Click here to

Prince George’s Sports and Learning Complex – 8001 Sheriff Road, Landover, MD 20785 • 301-583-2400. This indoor waterpark has a huge water slide, lazy river, and tons of water sprouts that will give the  little ones endless enjoyment.

4.) Take in a movie – There a few  movies options out for the kids to enjoy; C.A.B and I will be going to see HOME over the spring break.

5.) The National Zoo – 3001 Connecticut Ave NW, Washington
DC 20008. Go see the animals and the new baby panda. Don’t
forget to check out the daily programs. The daily programs
include animal training, feeding demonstrations, and keeper

6.) The Capital Wheel at the National Harbor – 116 Waterfront Street
National Harbor, MD 20745. Take a ride on a Ferris wheel and soar 180 feet above the Potomac River waterfront and from the top you can see the U.S. Capitol and Washington Monument.  Then after your ride go visit the Awaking sculpture and play in the sand.

7.) Watkins Park – 301 Watkins Park Drive, Upper Marlboro,
MD 20774 (301) 218-6700 offers a huge amount of activities
from Old Maryland Farm, Nature Center (turtles, snakes, and
etc) , walking trails, playground, basketball courts. During
Spring Break they will be offering a campfire and puppet

 8.) Oxon Hill Farm – 6411 Oxon Hill Road, Oxon Hill, MD,

301-839-1176 , It is a free living farm minutes outside of
DC that includes the Mount Welby home, Farm Museum, barns, a
stable, feed building, livestock buildings and a visitor
activity barn. Farm animals include cows, horses and
chickens. They also offer hay rides. Visitors can view the
animals up close daily and learn about the workings of a

 9.) Nature Walk – Take a walk around your neighborhood or

park and explore the trees to see the changes that are
happening in Spring from Winter

10. Carnival at Capital Plaza – Capital Plaza, 6200 Annapolis Rd.
