October is here and now the air is getting crisp! This is my favorite time of the year; the leaves are changing color and time for Pumpkin Patches. C.A.B. and I love to go pick pumpkins, ride hayrides, corn mazes, and pet the animals. We went to Montpelier Farms this weekend. I have listed below a list of farms located in Maryland and Virginia and next week; I will post a review and pictures from Montpelier Farms. Also, be on the lookout because some farms will do a Groupon, Living Social or Amazon Deal in the next coming weeks.  We had a Groupon for Montpelier Farms.


Butler’s Orchard 22200 Davis Mill Road, Germantown, Maryland (301) 972-3299 Annual Pumpkin Festival is held weekends throughout November, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pick a pumpkin, go on a hayride; explore a hay maze; enjoy crafts, and food.

Clark’s Elioak Farm 10500 Clarksville Pike, Ellicott City, Maryland (410) 730-4049 Open every day in November 5th. 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Enjoy the petting farm, a pumpkin patch, hayrides, pony rides and storybook characters from the Enchanted Forest.

Crumland Farms 7612 Willow Road, Frederick, Maryland. (301) 845-8099. Pumpkin patch, corn maze, haunted hayride, pedal carts, giant trikes, mini-barnyard, hay jump, giant slide, MooChoo train and more.

Gaver Pumpkin Patch 5501 Detrick Road, Mt. Airy, Maryland (301) 865-3515 Open late September through November, 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Free hayrides are offered Fri-Sun. The fall festival features a challenging “Casey the Cow” themed corn maze, large farm animal area, straw mountain, pedal bike track, giant slides, pirate ship, bale mazes, toddler corn maze, and play areas.

Millers Farm 10140 Piscataway Rd Clinton, MD 20735 Guests can go on a wagon ride through the 267-acre farm, navigate their way through a corn maze, and frolic through a pumpkin patch. The farm is open on weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for $9 per person

Montpelier Farms 1720 North Crain Highway, Upper Marlboro, Maryland (410) 320-0464 Fall festival runs on weekends, September – November. Hours are Fri. 5-11 p.m., Sat. 10 a.m.-11 p.m., and Sun. 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Corn maze, grass maze, hayrides, animals, pedal karats, hay and play, kids corral, hill slides, pedal tractors, korn crib, corn tepee, straw bale maze, farm football lounge, and pumpkin daycare.

Summers Farm 5620 Butterfly Lane, Frederick, Maryland (301) 620-9316 Pumpkinland festival is open September 23 – October 31, 2017. Fall farm attractions include cornfield maze, hay rides, pig races, jumping pillow. Farm animals, pick your own pumpkins, hay slides, and a flashlight corn maze.


Burke Nursery and Garden Center 9401 Burke Road, Burke, Virginia (703) 323-1188 October 1-31, 2014. The annual Fall Festival and Pumpkin Playground runs daily from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. through October. Highlights include pirate and western-themed activities, Native American storytellers, slides, tumbling tubes, rope swings, A Monster Truck, mechanical rides, farm animals, clowns, magicians, musicians, Wobble Wagon rides and much more.

Clark’s Farm 721 Courthouse Rd (Rte. 630), Stafford, Virginia (540) 659-2172 September 25 – November 1 open 7 days a week 10 am to 6 pm. Moon bounce, maze, face painting, pumpkin painting, straw mountain with tunnels, penny pit, corn box, pumpkin bowling, barn yard animals, pony rides and more.

Cox Farm 15621 Braddock Rd Centreville, VA 20120 (703) 830-4121 Open daily until October 31 and November 3-7, 10am -6pm last admission one hour before closing. Enjoy Five giant slides, famous hayrides, rope swings, farm animals & their babies, CORNundrum© cornfield adventure, Farm Chores, Kiddie Zone, apples & cider, food, entertainment, Tree Tops, Imaginature Trail, Tractor Museum, FOAMHENGE, and over 90 acres of fun! Everyone gets a small patch pumpkin to take home FREE with paid admission. Festival Hours: 10am-6pm (5pm in November). Last admission one hour before closing.   C.A.B. and I went here with his school and had a ball. I enjoyed the slides just as much as he did.

Great Country Farm 18780 Foggy Bottom Road, Bluemont, VA 20135 Now until October 31st open 7 days a week 10 am to 6 pm.  You can find much more than pick your own fields and the Farmer Market. They have Ride the Cow Train, solve the giant Mazes, grab some air on the Pumpkin Jumping Pillow, six slides, hook the big one at the Fishing Pond and much more.

Ticonderoga Farms 26469 Ticonderoga Road, Chantilly, Virginia (703) 327-4424 Now until the first week of November, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The festival includes hands on pick your own pumpkins, spooky fun zones, hayrides, hillside slides and tunnels, giant jumping pillow, cow pow train ride, Noah’s Ark, petting animals, giant xylophone, bamboo panda puzzle maze, swinging bridge, antique tractors, fire pits, park-like log cabin play areas, picnic areas, weekend specials and more.
