Summertime in the Washington DMV area is a perfect time to have a family outing and enjoy an outdoor movie.  There are several venues to choose from this summer.  C.A.B. and I have enjoyed a few outdoor movies planning to check out a few more.  All you need to bring is some chairs and snacks to enjoy a movie on the big screen under the stars.  The majority of movies start at dusk or so (please check times) although I would suggest you get there earlier to get a good spot.  Below is a list of outdoor movie venues.  Check to see what movie is playing and the time.
